SWS IRL: Gabriel from Brazil

Hey there! My name is Gabriel, a 20-year old communications student, lover of Californication and Heavy Metal. I live in Brazil, I was born in São Paulo, a well know city to foreigns, but I live in a smaller city called Praia Grande, or in English, Long Beach.

The city is better know as a shadow of Santos, another great town, where we have a football stadium called Vila Belmiro. We have nice beaches, including a shipyard, where can be seen dozens of ships daily at the portuary area.

Where I live, though, is a little bit far from the ports. Santos is also where I study (now at the 3rd year of a period of four). Below is the view outside my window, at the 9th floor.

Online, my name is Sharkran, a barbarian. I was responsible for designing the logo for our clan together with our leader. I don't log on a lot, but I appear sometimes to see what's on. Sometimes my computer goes crazy and I can't play no matter what I try, but even with this problem, I can't leave Regnum behind. :D

I'm a Christian, I don't drink or smoke, and I'm completely in love with German tales and its mythology, the Nordic. I have also some pagan beliefs, besides my religion, of course.

I always use to go to rock shows when my idols come to my country. The last one I've seen on stage was Bon Jovi, on Morumbi Stadium. The first one, Guns N' Roses. Sadly, I've lost the three greatest shows of this year: Iron Maiden, Ozzy and U2. But it was worthy. The money I would spend on the shows I spend on my little Georgia.

Naked in Regnum Online ;-)

This story is NOT an April Fools Day joke, it's not a fake, and it's nothing to do with Photoshop or GIMP graphics tools. It's a real story! A real, because ... of some bug, I guess! See below: naked in Regnum Online game, and have fun with us!.. ;-)

P. S. For me (how about you?) on my Radeon HD 5700 Series video card under Fedora 14 OS with the latest 11.2 ATI video driver, this bug might be reproduced quite easily after multiply switching from full-screen mode to windowed one, and back. So, it's really easy to strip everyone!.. ;-) Even Yeti or Orc!.. ;-)

Let me introduce myself :

Well, I'm very, very old ! Probably the oldest in the whole Syrtis Realm. :) Don't ask my age, I don't remember ...

I'm French, I love my country but I mainly love any people on earth in any country. I would like visit them all, take a chair with any people meet in streets or small roads, campaigns, whatever it is, have a beer and chat about their life and their hopes.

I love architecture and old monuments mainly if they represent the country where they are. I love taste any typical cooking.

I started my job life as engineer in electronics and worked on radio emetter/receivers and hyperfrequency radars.

But, developping some electronic boards with CPUs and peripheral components I had to program them (assembler, Pascal, C) ... it was the virus that makes me to switch to the software and exchange my oscilloscope to a computer screen.

I worked some time as a system engineer on SCO/HP/AIX/Solaris boxes (I always prefered Gnu/Linux which I began to work with releases < 1) (time of dinosaurs :) )

Now I work in Paris as a DBA (mainly Oracle, SQLserver, but all databases are in some of interest for me) and I'm still developping in C, PHP, U*x shells.

I love classical music and Opéras, jazz (mainly swing music like Django Reihnardt). I'm a baritone singer in a classical choir.

I play classical guitar (less and less but still bad).

I do photography and macro photography, trecking, reading, boating sailing (not so often as I would).

I never played in any online game before discovering ROL by chance.

I read an article about ROL in November 2008, because it was said the action was at middle age (this is my prefered historical period).

I tried and was captivated.

Now, I play ROL as soon as I have some spare time ... so not often unfortunately. :(

My chars are Soron knight 50, Vercingetorix hunter 36, Melusine warlock 35, Tux the barbarian 32, Miss Tick conju 30 and ????

Here we start new SWS IRL posting series on our blog, and as you should understand from the title above it's about us, Syrtis War Stalkers clannies, in real life on the Earth! Below is the first story of Alex, but ... be ready to prepare your own story too - we will read it with big pleasure too! :-)

Hi, I'm Mihai, a 27 years Romanian 50% country guy. I'm born in Alexandria, but now living in Bucharest the Romania's capitol. I'm a student, studying law at Romanian Police Academy 3rd year (out of 5), working as cocktail bartender in free time. I love space and everything inside it. Don't smoke and drink only sometimes.

In Regnum Online game I've been one of the youngest councilors of Syrtian Council, young not in age, but in time I've been in Syrtian Council clan.

In Syrtis War Stalkers clan I play Cnmne 50 lvl knight, but I have two another 50 lvl barbarian and marksman characters too.

Since the age of 15 I started to write lyrics, different shapes and sizes if you know what I mean. Saddest poetry I have written is this, maybe some of you will not understand it at first:

Because of the path

Last stanza was only translated from Romanian.

Syrtis War Stalkers clan immigrates to Ignis

After multiply consultations with "old" elite of Syrtis War Stalkers clan, and after hard and long deliberation, the founder of SWS clan, Titanium Axle, has decided to immigrate our clan to Ignis realm. Yes, we love red!

So, at the nearest future we will even try to transfer the entire our family-type clan at once from Syrtis to Ignis realms (on some forums has been rumored that this can be done with using next SQL command by NGD Studios (so, therefore our clannies, who work in database development industry, currently study SQL intensively!) and with a lot of premium Regnum Online currency, approx. 100k Ximerin).:
